Our summer performing arts camps are designed for children who are interested in exploring various performing, film and video arts disciplines. We will share theatre, comedy, dance, music, audio and video arts through training in established techniques and then creating their own material in multiple forms. The camp experience will be active and engaging with a range of activities such as writing and acting, film making, broadcast audio and video, street and contemporary dance exploration, percussion techniques and more. The focus is on trying new things and making social and artistic connections with peers, all using the equipment and presentation spaces of our large arts facility.
Instructors will connect with each of the children using their diverse and collective knowledge of the professional performing arts. If you want a fun and supportive summer environment encouraging a personal connection with the arts for your kids, that is our goal. We promise an environment that promotes acceptance of personalities and bodies of all kinds.

| How much are the summer camps?
Price reduced! Camps are $300 per child, per week. A 50% discount will apply to all additional children of the same household. |
| When do the camps run?
Age: 7 – 9 Age: 10 – 11 Age: 12 – 13 Camps runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 3:30pm (early drop off from 7:30am and late pick up until 5pm are available for an additional fee of $15 plus GST per child/per day). |
| Can I register for single day camps?
No. All camps are week long and daily registration is not an option. |
| What is Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces? Who organizes the summer camp?
Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces is an initiative led by Massey Theatre Society, which comprises over 57,000 square feet of dynamic and creative spaces in the Massey Theatre Arts Complex that includes the Massey Theatre, Plaskett Gallery, multipurpose studios including a performance studio and dance studio and digital labs. The summer camp is organized and led by a highly professional team of artists at Massey Theatre. |
