OUROFest Mainstage – Night 2

Presented by OURO Collective in partnership with Massey Theatre

OUROFEST Night Two features work by BC’s own Lewen Han, plus the highly anticipated return of Casual Gay Funk. World-renowned international guest artist RubberLegz (Germany/LA) will be performing an electrifying duet with Matt Luck where partnership is forged through conflict and connection. With a not-to-be-missed performance by B-Boy RubberLegz, celebrated for his ability to contort his body into unthinkable shapes and for the groundbreaking style that earned him international acclaim, this work is a charged exploration of power, tension, and transformation on stage.

The evening is capped off with an after party in Eighth & Eight’s Studio 1C to celebrate with the artists and community.

This presentation is part of OUROFEST, an annual multi-day street dance festival celebrating dancers, DJs, and community, hosted by OURO Collective. This year the festival will include two main stage shows in partnership with the Massey, featuring celebrated local and international street dance artists. This is a ‘not to be missed’ chance to see street dance in a theatre space and join in witnessing and celebrating this boundary crossing form.

This performance is family-friendly and welcomes audiences from all communities. If you’ve been to a dozen battles before or have no idea what street dance is, we’re excited to welcome you to the theatre and share the work of these captivating artists.
