Classic film scholar and crooner connoisseur Michael van den Bos pays tribute to the legacy of legendary singer and Academy Award-winning actor BING CROSBY. By way of curated clips from classic films and vintage television projected on the big screen, Michael explores the song and film career of Der Bingle, the twentieth century’s first multi-media superstar, having conquered recorded music, radio and motion pictures. With his warm, deep, relaxed and lilting vocal style, Bing Crosby revolutionized the art of intimate singing, influencing generations of jazz and pop vocalists. His easy-going onscreen charm and natural ability to tackle musicals, comedies and dramatic roles made Bing a top box-office attraction over several decades and one of the most beloved performers of all-time.
